After watching the 20 minute demo, I'm pretty pumped! It looks like Diablo 2 on steroids, which is a good thing.

Can't wait for El Diablo

The videos are amazing.

With StarCraft 2 also on the slate, it's gonna be time to buy a new mouse with a reinforced left click. Titanium perhaps?

Diablo 1 is a cut down psuedo-realtime roguelike where everybody is a Warrior, has Godly Plate of the Whale and King's Sword of Haste, quaffing every potion in a hundred year radius to stay alive.

Diablo 2 is a Full-screen-o-enemies-getting-massacred-by-super-skills action game with uniqueness between classes and a single act out of five was twice the size of all of Diablo 1, but having the major flaw of being able to completely ruin your character if you didn't put points in the correct skill because you can't take it back (except for one single instance) and being crippled at higher difficulties if you attempt to be a jack of all trades with your class. Also have to rely on a backpack full of potions unless you're one of a few classes that can heal themselves through skills.

Diablo 3 is going to be more of Diablo 2 without that major flaw. Also no more dependancy on potions, apparently.

IDO just borrowed my cd's because he's never played any diablo games. I would because the game is just damn fun, but I'm also playing Hellgate London right now.

Merc - If you have your CD Keys, you can put them into Blizzard's online store and download the games.

It doesn't have a monthly cost. In fact, if you want to do it cheaply, there is a site called G2Buy.com that sells just the keys. You can get all three (Diablo, Diablo 2, and Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction Expansion Pack) for less than $10. Then when you get the keys (I've heard it takes up to 8 hours, but others have got their stuff in 20 mins). Take your keys to Blizzard's Online Store and put them in. Download the games and play on!
