The Current

Post by TREV »

Since I've been off and on (for computer being a jackass reasons) and other personal reasons going on, I've been trying to find a good PC game.

And of course, SOF2 has been long gone for months now for me.

So I've been playing Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction, Unreal Tournament 2003, Rise of Nations, Command & Conquer Generals, and a bit of GamesMania. (www.gamesmania.ca)

But none of these games have been online, and I'm beggining to miss the good ol' online times. So fairly soon I'll have to pick a good, solid, online game where I know I'll be for a long long time to come and where I can also find a good clan/outfit/guild to stick with.

So, I find myself in a bit of a frenzy of choices:

I could go back to SOF2, which I am anyways just for the good ol' times once again.

I could check out Star Wars Galaxies, since the craze is so high at the moment why not just jump right in with the rest of the pack, eh. Looks fairly good, and if it's annything like Anarchy Online then I'll prolly love it.

PlanetSide is out of the question, wasn't at all satisfied with it after a week of playing.

EvE Online I could consider, but it's not high on my list of choices.

I'm sure there are a couple of other choices in the back of mind, but none that stick out more then the ones just listed above.

With a busted XBOX, an upcoming computer upgrade, and a new speaker surround sound set for the computer, I'm ready and rocking to get back into the Online PC department after months and months of abcense.

Not sure which ones ya guys would highlight in that group, but I'll be making a final desicion in a couple of weeks...on July 30th; my sweet sixteen birthday.

And the by the way, my nickname is STILL, and will forever be TREV|NFreaK.

WOOO!!!!!

Well, I would start by finding a clan you fit in with and find out what games they are playing or are starting to play. Then ask if you can hook up with them.

Good Luck!

As a stop-gap, consider Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for the PC. It's no online tomfoolery, but it's good mind-rot for the interim, nevertheless.

Ok well I finally got back into SOF2 this afternoon..

It feels like starting all over again. I was playing alright, I think I did 23/13 or so. Not bad for my first game back, I guess. But everything feels different. I don't know anyone there except for MasaMune and Grudge.

Some 'new' clans there from what I can tell...or at least just new to me.

I might have to re-think my coming back to SOF2, I think I might move on to Star Wars Galaxies in a couple weeks.

But we'll see. :squarewink:
