Post by Dr.Death »

Ok, who the hell stole all the electricity? Lost my goddam power for 5hrs! Heard it was those Canadians trying a sneak attack on the US! LOL. Anyone else effected by this shit? I had to find something to feed my kinds and found the next city away actually had power and went there to spend 45 minutes in McDonalds drive through. I pissed alot of people off to, I bought the last of the Freedom Fries!

Yeah, I lost my power for about 9 hours. From what I heard, the power outage affected the north east of the states and almost all of Ontario! WTF? Quebec has like 50 dams over there and they aint giving any power?

Yeah no power from 4:00 in the afternoon till 1:30 in the morning... drove me nuts. I had absolutly no idea our main power source came from Niagara Falls, New York. I dont even live close to there!

Living just outside of Las Vegas, I of course, was immune to the power grid failure.

Item of interest: Although many people are unaware, you might find it interesting to know that here in the Southwest, our main power grid is spread out over millions and millions of cactus. That's right. We get all our power from cactus juice. We have underground lines that siphen the juice from each cactus, and feed it to the turbines at Hoover Dam, which converts the sugars from the juice into energy, much like Photosynthesis.

Well my power just came back on about 20 mins ago....We are avised not to turn on our air or non essential electronics. So does my computer count as non essential??? LOL. You know this is just another reason to blame those damn canadians for our troubles. I think they are still mad at Bush and decided to take out the niagara-mohawk power grid. I wouldn't doubt if that blasted Undead Merc had a hand in the whole mess. LOL (just kidding) Dont know if I will be on tonight. may turn computer unplugged for 1 more day just to make sure they have the power issue taken care of. Dont think it would be worth frying my comp just for a little SOF2

well it is now 5 pm Michigan time, and my power just turned on.. pretty strange I'll tell you.. I was at my bank and trying to deposit my check when the power went out, the manager started yellin "everybody out I am locking the doors!!" I thought someone was robbing the damned place... water and Ice was impossible to find or buy if you waited an hour after the blackout, when there was word that one city over from me had power it was a mad rush to get to the gas stations, hours long those lines were.. then there came the great flooding down-pours (is armegedeon upon us?) well I waited today until it was extremely pouring out and went to a gas station and waited 15 mins to get gas, can you imagine waitin 15 mins any normal day for gas? or anything for that matter... and then I went home and got my Jeep (filled my wifes car first) and had to wait all over again...I am glad it is over but it shows me how lazy and dependent our society is.. can you picture all of the things in history that were accomplished by cande-light and with only a rudimentary communications bby horse and only written word, I was furious that I couldn't get instant cell signal.. all told I was out of power 24 hours 45 minutes.... sad.

My grandparents had power most of the time aswell, as did my Aunt and Uncle. We had power come on for like 10 minutes twice, but that's it.

Just the area apparently. Had to go eat at Harveys, and shopped at A&P once the power came back on for them.
