Ok. I have researched some cruicial pieces.

1. Video Card NVidia 8600GT 256MB
2. Motherboard Mach speed MSNV939
3. AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800 2.0GHZ
4. Power Supply Ultry X Finity 600W dual 80mm fan SATA ready
SLI ready Titanium.

Total cost for this stuff around $350CA

Would this be all I need? Is the Ram an issue? I have 4 slots currently and it is 2 512 chips.

Thanks Guys

His new motherboard probably has DDR and DDR2 slots. His old motherboard supported DDR. So, for now, just using your 2x 512mb DDR should be fine. Later you can upgrade to the DDR2.

This is just my observation, but the reviews seem to favor the 7900GS and ATI X1950Pro over the 8600GT. And you save a few bucks.

The DX10 support is a mirage. The shaders that take advantage of 10 would buckle the pipes anyways, so the support is basically moot. This is a marketing move only, and not a practical one.

My 2 copper :D
