Nvidia released their new graphics processor in the GeForceFX 6800 Ultra. There hasn't been a leap forward like this in a long time. All I can say is thank god for ATI....yes, you heard me right. Competition breeds innovation. Leaps like this happened during the wars of 3dFX and Nvidia years ago, but not until the Radeon beat Nvidia's offerings was Nvidia forced to bring the big guns to the table.
Can't wait to see what ATI comes out with to compete.
Read the article on <a href="http://www20.tomshardware.com/graphic/2 ... tml">Tom's Hardware here</a>.
And just to give you a taste....here are the Call of Duty benchmark comparisons for the cards.

Bah I just posted this the same time as you Arch.
I was checking out the demos and other review sites and trying to get links but they were down.
Sadly the ATI and XGI roadmaps are still the same tho so it doesn't look like nVidia will be getting much competition this year lol. Currently the rep over at Gamedev.net for ATI claims their new card is only 8 pipes still with various increments.. that should put it over the 9800 but not even close to this new badboy.
Gotta love competition.. if ATI hadn't caught up last year we wouldn't have seen innovation like this!
