Assistant Tailor
Assistant Tailor
With the money Imp so generously donated to my cause, I'm now making cloth armor with a factor of 20 (orange to me at level 18) and leather armor with a factor of 32 (yellow at my level).
I can't quite make the full set of gossomer cloth, going to need to go over 400 and I'm outta gold again (1 pair of gloves costs 1 gold, 39 silver and 68 copper to make!). But if I can go out and make some more money (going to try consignment), then I'll be able to make our cloth armor wearers some much better stuff hopefully by tonight.
Ace, I can make you some better stuff for sure, so just see me tonight about picking it up.

Update, I can't get the tailor guy to talk to me, much less consign anything so I'm just running around checking out my healing fossil.
**
Update update - Totally out of money. My healing fossil is actually some what of a pain in the butt compared to my buffing fossil as far as fighting tactics go. I made a little more money and got myself up to 406 or something in tailoring. I need to find a good place to hunt for leveling + money or figure out how to get consignment to work. Can't find anything on it and can't seem to get work...

Oops I guess I should have told you how you get consignments heh
What you do is go to your tailor master, click on him so he is selected, and type:
task
He will then tell you what you need to make and who to deliver it to.
If you need more money I'll be able to give you some more to start on these, I'll have to hunt for awhile on the Necro tonight to get all crafters more money anyways
For leveling/hunting I'll show you a couple places this weekend.

Ahhhhhh, thanks. I hate being such a money leech, so knowing how to get some tasks going to make a little on my own will be good.
I got COD practice tonight.

Update - I've got work. It's slower than Christmas considering the maps need a lot of redoing because some people on them are gone and many more have been added since the map was done. BUT, I'm getting a few extra silver per. Unfortunately it's really not doing a thing for my tailoring levels. Lol.

FYI - I remember a discussion where I commented on how stupid it was that a tailor couldn't repair the cloth armor, yet they could make it new. That didn't make a lick of sense (as they say in the south). As it happens, it's not true, a tailor CAN repair cloth and leather armor (and an armorsmith or weaponsmith can fix stuff they can make as well). There is some sort of mathmatics involved, but basically if you can make it, you can fix it and if it's way over your level then you can't fix it obviously.
A person who wants it fixed, just drops it on the ground, you click it and do /repair. Tada. Eventually it will fall apart after multiple repairs but eh...you'll probably be leveled to the point where it's time to buy new stuff anyway.
I'm making leather armor with an armor factor of 42, it's level 22 stuff. So next time we're all on, make sure to have me upgrade any cloth or leather armor wearing characters, and/or repair anything that may be damaged.

Oh yeah, Imp, If I wanted to start selling the stuff I can make to the public do you have any advice on pricing?

Wow thats wicked.. I never knew about the repairing at all =]
As for selling public I honestly couldn't tell you. I know most crafters have an NPC at the house that they sell things on, and the others usually spam in Camelot, Jordheim, or Tir Na Nog.
I dunno about prices at all though.

I found a site that has a calculator for coming up with prices for that sort of thing, you can choose your own markup and it gives you the price you should ask with that percent of markup, what it cost you to make, what it would sell for to the merchant, and what a full suit of it would cost.
I don't know how accurate it is, but it seems to be accurate and I hate math so any calculator that automatically figures up stuff like that makes me happy.

My next question is...where the heck is someone that sells Sylvan Thread/Cloth?! I need it to make my next level of cloth armor...and I can't find anyone selling it anywhere.
(I'm at level 502 now).

Update...oh bugger. I found this
http://www.daoctradeskills.com/guidesma ... ations.htm
And I'm going to have to go outside my little safe place to get the stuff. Ahhhhhhhh. No gank bus, no! NO! I'm going to need to hire big body guards...but then I can't afford to buy the thread...hell I prolly can't afford to buy the thread anyway...fortunately I can keep going on the gossomer and whatnot for a while yet. Whew, that was close.

Bummer.
I was attempting to do my level 500 crafting quest but there's a camper sitting invis at the town I have to go into...I managed to get the list while he wasn't paying attention but the ingredients as well as the person that needs them are both in that same place he's camping. And I thought playing early I might miss some of the gank bus drivers...ah well. Maybe I should do some homework or something...hehe, or the dishes that are piling up in the sink...or...
I need to make some level 50 friends...lmao
What I should have done, was make a secondary noob character the fripping crafter and left her at level 5...that way she could take the quest, and go out there from town to town without getting pked. Ah well. I'll just have to SIU.

Oh yippee.
Now consignment is getting to be a royal pain because the items I need I have to go out of town to get (not getting ganked, just hate having to run that far and load twice for a lousy couple silver and no level half the time).
I coulda swore someone in town was selling some of that crap but I guess not. Booooooo.
