A long time ago...

Post by This_name_sucks »

A long time ago, in a distant land (well distant for me and the other English crew), a brave young knight (well, actually it's Arch) came forth with an idea. This idea was only thrown about and not thoroughly discussed. The idea was to make a MOD for Call of Duty.

I got plenty of time over the next couple of weeks to do some working on anything of this type and am dying to get some mapping done. I did this over a few hours, just as a preliminary idea of the detail I would use and the style of map I intended to do. Hope to get something going as a clan.

Ideally we need to open this up as a discussion, because it requires team co-operation to pull off something of this scale. All those who put down their abilities in the forum we had earlier could be of some use to this, if it were to go ahead. As you can already see I am already preparing maps.

Good job so far TNS! You have a good eye for mapping.

Being quite focused on mastering low poly modeling and game mapping, I can help out the best I can.

For now, I have decided to make a high quality/detailed version of the classic Team Fortress map 2Fort4 for fun and a personal challenge/practice. As time permits, I am very serious about bringing this wonderful map into CoD. I have seen this map in no less than 5 different engines, and I simply cannot believe the lack of detail or style that has been smudged. 2Fort4 needs to be avenged!

I think all of us that want to "bring good things to life" can have a party with making a map together as a team.

Now it's all about ideas and gameplay ... Let me know if I can help.

damnit people I said discussion. Here's some questions:

What would the mod contain (new maps/new gametypes...)?
What skills are required?
Who can we ask for assitance in the clan?
What skills in anything mod like people have (this will be similar to Arch's forum earlier this year).

Now get discussing in this forum :x

A few new maps possibly of cities that havent been done yet or a map off top of head. New gametype would be good but could it be done so that its orginal i mean what has not been done yet... hmm. I think that sounds good.

Now that doesn't sound like a half bad idea, as long as it includes propane and propane accessories.
