dsl should be about the same speed as cable if not faster. I generally gives you better ping for gaming but slightly lower speeds for downloading.

Where are you getting DSL, BadAsh? Here, DSL provides 768k down (1.5M if you live in the right neighboorhood) / 128k up. Cable is 4M down / 256k up. That being said, I had DSL for 5 years before I switched to Cable. I prefer cable, but DSL did the trick. For gaming, it's a relative toss-up (provided your ISP isn't a dingleberry that routes your traffic 600 miles out of the way - ask me if you want more details on that....).

Regardless -> Cable/DSL > Dial-up > Nudie mags > staring at a wall.....

Yeah he was referring to DSL up here, they switched it around to make it faster than cable. That is good except my uber cable connection still pwns dsl.

i had to switch to DSL over here in vancouver- place i live in has some type of monopoly on the cable service so i can only use that one- it's rated as like the second fastest cable service in north america (at least it was when i used it) but they highly enforce their 5 Gb down/2Gb up bandwidth limits --- i could have none of that as a single dvdr is 4.7 gigs! haha. one permonth, i think not!
so now i'm with DSL.... only 1.5Mbps -- in games theres no difference.... but downloading is ridonculously slow. cap around 150 k/s.
