this is an email i sent to my family today. Everyone can help out one way or another. it is a bit on the long sided but bear with it.

" I am sending this email to all of my family. Well as you know my birthday is coming (a month from now). I am going to ask for something this year. Normally I am not much of a gift kinda guy, that doesn't mean I do not appreciate each and every gift, I just like to give gifts more than to be made a fuss of, whatever you think of that, it's true. Well I have had this whole week off for vacation (weeklong plant layoff) so I have done nothing but watch TV and read the news on the Internet. I know all of you know about the Tsunami that hit southern Asia. Well as of the time I am sending this out 114,000 people are counted dead! I have sent a donation to a site that I will include with this email. I am asking that instead of a gift for me, or as a gift to me, send a small donation using this site. Simple enough. I am almost ALWAYS saying that I will never donate to a cause that is not affecting the U.S., there are Americans dead. This goes beyond the normal us and them. This is a worldwide tragedy. Well that's mostly all I have to say, except that if your going to do this please do it soon. I know everyone's broke right after Christmas but $20 isn't that much. Oh and did I mention I would like a Mercedes SL600 roadster convertible 12 cylinder. That you can just send directly to me."

well that's my hopes that's what my family will do. hope it inspires some of you to help if you can, if you can't than at least you can wish these poor people well. Happy New years to you all.

nice idea grudge. Already went to the same site the other day and made my donation. I say all PHX try in some way to make a mark on this situation

Well we already donated. You're right Grudge it is a worldwide disaster. I ask you all that you donate, cause you will feel soo much better for doing it. Just think about yourself in their position and you'll see what I mean.

My brother has just informed me that he is being deployed there to aid in the rescue and cleanup operations, he says he may be there for several months. Should be hell.
