I played EQ2 for a few weeks just before WoW was released (I even confused the two games for 5 minutes once talking about platinum and housing in WOW lol)
All I can say is, EQ2 is like a plastic version of WoW, only not nearly as good.

I also gave the trial version a... well.. try. And, seeing as how my system is badly outdated, I had a hard time fully enjoying the game.
