Battlefield 2

Post by CoolerKing »

I have been playing on and off in between COD. Is everyone still gung ho about this one? Den told me that EA was suggesting that those who updated to roll back to 1.0. I haven't updated yet. Is there anyone else who hasen't? I think this game is much more fun with a group on vent communicating. Should we do a night?

I like BF2 alot. I haven't upgraded and am not planning on doing it until the patch is out for at least a week. Den heard right about the rollback too, and of course, the only way you can rollback the client is to reinstall. 8-)

i updated and i can still play but when ever a map change takes place my game crashes hard. and no i am not reinstallign this bad boy for nothing.

And yes Cooler we play and we play reguarly. we are mainly playing hen your in UO. This is the reason i stepped down from UO. There is no way to do both and be of any use to the teams.

I picked this up with Arch and I will try to be on two to three times a week. If I jump on I will jump on vent.
See you all on the battlefield soon......

I uninstalled UO on the same vein as Midnight, I'd only start to suck at both if I didn't focus on either. ...And my little 30GB hard drive needs space.

The 1.01b HotFix is said to be out "soon", and because this is probably an urgent thing (even though DICE is on vacation) EA will likely have the 1.01 hotfix out by this coming week.

I have a number of 1.01 servers (favorited in All Seeing Eye, which now works, so I'm not rolling back) that don't seem to have been affected by the Memory Leak which is the cause of all the trouble. The only servers that look to be affected are EA official or SeeMePlayMe Ranked servers. Most unranked and a few ranked haven't had much trouble.

So everybody is having to re-install the game to roll back? Man, I hope to play this game much more. Although my ATi 8500 is minimum requirements. Now with NYC behind me, I'm saving for a new PC.

Well I think I can handle both. Are you really thinking "team" sport with BF2?

This game is definetly team-oriented. It's no fun playing on your own, that's for sure. I wish we had more members getting into the game, so then we might have need of our own server. I look foward to any competition in the game, there is a lot of strategy involved, and a lot of fun to be had.

The cool thing about competing in BF2 is the team sizes should accommodate everyone that wants to play. Like 12v12 or 16v16. (I'm hoping)

So everyone upgrade that video card and RAM and let's get wicky.

If we do end up going about renting a server, which we may because EA is being anal about releasing the ranked server code, I'd be more than willing to help pay for it.

Huh? Why rent a server? Because you want it to be ranked?
