It may be a diagnostic code, but I'd have to know more about your system to know for sure.....

if it is the power led and not the hard drive led it could be many thing. main aera to look into would be the surge protector you have the pc plugged into has been all used up and it is time for a new one. if it is a battery back up system then the battery is deffective.

lets start and see what we get

Found this while googling.....

"I had it happen to me on my Asus A7N8X R2 Deluxe, has your system gone into standby power saving mode? I usually disable standby but hadn't on that occasion. It stopped flashing after I had rebooted. Try disabling standby and see if it still happens. Someone said you may have to disconnect the powersupply from the mains for a few seconds and then restart, but I didn't have to."

Ok, I found another thread where a guy mentions the blinking as well, but he was also having other issues with booting and fans cycling off and on as well. He ended up deducing that it was his Power Supply going.... Not saying that is your issue, but you may want to give the thread a read.....

Well I looked into the standby mode and it was disabled. But I also remember my son pressing the user button on my keyboard and it sending me into standby, so I hit that button again and it logged me off, I logged back in and it stopped blinking and hasnt blinked since.

Is the limit on sig size removed btw arch, wouldn't mind having a bit more space to work with?

electrical tape... cut a small peice, affix to offending blinking light, pat yourself on the back for another job well done. that will be $34.95 for my consultation fee, thank you very much.
