F.E.A.R. MP Demo
I've only played this alittle bit after it got released today, but CTF is hellafun!

Only complaint I really have is that it seems the Assault Rifle is a little overpowered in comparison to the other weapons.

Well, me and my room mate got the demo and were playing it this morning. It is definetly an intense game! I love it! We should try to set a time where a bunch of us can play together.

I doubt I'm the first one of us to figure this out, but there is a cool melee combat system in this game.
Drop kick : Jump + Unarmed Attack. It's a little tricky to kill with (sicne you actually kick twice), but it's so cool if you can pull it off.
Sliding kick : Jump + Crouch + Unarmed Attack. Never been able to kill anyone with it yet, but it's also pretty cool (if you've ever played Breakdown for XBox, it's pretty much the same thing).
Punch : If you press H, you holster your weapon. Instead of shooting, you put your dukes up and start killing fisticuff style. Like 1 punch to the head kills a guy.
** Also, if your weapon is holstered, you run about 50% faster **
I'm sure they're other little things I haven't figure out yet. I found some extra weapons in DM mode (1-hit kill Plasma Cannon!). I can definetly see more of us liking this game.

Yeah, BadAsh played this in Beta and I remember him talking about the sliding kick thing. Never done it though....

Actually you don't have to jump to do that kick. I managed to kill a couple guys with it, 1 hit will do it.
As for guns, that Penetrator one is awesome! It is probably the most accurate gun in the demo. Although the Assault rifle is more powerful (yeah, I agree that it is overpowered), it lacks some accuracy at long range. Also, I like using Dual Pistols, but they are hard as hell to survive with.
Kinda funny thing happened just awhile ago. I started using that gun and after a few minutes of whipping ass, some guy invites me to join his guild. I explained to him that I was already in one, and my name was too long to incorporate the PHX tags. Right after my decline, my room mate (jokingly) tells him that he'd join his guild. The guy tells him he only wants the really good players! HAHAHA! He likes to pretend that he's good, so I busted out laughing.

Yeah I've been playing the crap outta this demo...let me know a time when we wanna try and play and I'll be there. heh i'm getting quite good at the melee...can get 5 kills in a row with it sometimes.

hay badash i was in a server with you for about 3 hours i said your name i duno about 150,000 times even changed my name to PHX-AgentXer0 (didnt' know at the time we where playing it) and called you a noob about 15,000 times i guess yer used to it and didnt' notice. =p
There's kind of two more Unarmed Moves, a Spin-Kick and a Sweep:
If you jump and Unarm at any time in the air while NOT holding forward, you do a Spin Kick that hits in an area around you.
The Sweep is actually the Spin-Kick, but you do in once you hit the ground (and I think it may have been unintentional). When you jump, hold backwards and press Unarm, you will first punch normally, and when you land, you'll do the spinkick.
You can also do the slide while in the air, just jump and then crouch+unarm immediately after, you'll get a short distance off the ground, and it looks like a sloppy karate kick.

I really can't get into this MP game. Teamwork types still felt like I was in Deathmatch, everybody was on their own most times. Need some'ah you fools to be screaming "Bullshit!" while I play this.
I first thought the game was sluggish because of my graphics settings, or maybe ping. But even when I had everything set to the absolute lowest (try it) and all pings on the server were 10-30, stuff got very choppy and latency turned to shit whenever even a small amount of bullets start moving.
This choppy situation causes severe problems when it comes to hitting other people. Melee works fine when stuff is calm, but once the bullets are going on around the corner, crazy stuff happens. One guy can dropkick ten yards away from me and somehow hit me, but my slide kick at point blank range kind of just pushed the guy out of the way.
There was a change that I really don't like from the MPBeta. Half the guys I fought against did nothing but run around bare-handed and charge guys with jumpkicks (happened to me a lot, since the pistol is never enough before they get to me), and switch to the G2 if I make distance after a missed kick or I turn to shoot them.
In the beta, melee was easier to make contact with, even with lots going on, and running bare-handed was only as fast as carrying the light weapons, but recovery from a slide or jump kick took a long moment (two-three seconds). Now, there is no consequence for missing repetetive "bicycle kicks" and everybody who knows is abusing it for the crazy mobility.
I only shall get this for SP, if I do at all.
