Hockey is on OLN and HDNet now, since the strike ESPN and ABC dropped their TV contracts. NBC will have the last 3 Stanley Cup games this year. So if a team sweaps only 1 hame will be on Over-the-Air broadcasting.

Although they aren't the best team, I'm looking foward to seeing how well the Habs will do with the new rules, which apparently are favorable to their style of playing. So far, they're doing pretty good.

RIVERKINGS TRIUMPHANT IN PRESEASON OPENER

New and Old Faces Make an Impact ........ A new era of Memphis RiverKings hockey began tonight (Thursday) at the DeSoto Civic Center in what turned out to be a 5-2 win over the Wichita Thunder in the 2005-2006 preseason opener.

note: the kings' uniform (white jersey) shown aren't the regular season ones, i still miss the old 92 logo ... oh well. it actually looks like the wichita guy (blue jersey) is giving the ref a mouth full literally with his arm in the air as if his wiener is unleashed to a "rodeo" fashion teehee, i couldn't help but comment on the obvious, forgive me.
