First off I would like to apoligize for being inactive since september, my colleges's network wouldn't let me play any games except for Guild Wars. Now to the question-earlier this year as my roommate plugged his flash drive into my USB it shocked my motherboard so I had to get a new one, not that big of a deal, just a little bit of $. So that happened in december and i replaced it over christmas break. Then I realize it messed up my graphics card, not sure if its just a sensor or it is really overheating, but at idle it runs at 72C and in game it goes up to 115C and shuts itself down. My card is a Gigabyte Geforce 6800GT AGP. I would just buy a new one but it is a little difficult finding anything in AGP anymore. So to get to my question, where can I send my card to to get it fixed so I can finally play COD2 which I got for chirstmas.
thanks,
Octavian
graphics card question
RE: graphics card question
Get your receipt, contact Giga-byte, and get an RMA number. Then ship it back to them, and it's more than likely a 3yr warranty so they will probably just send you a new one or make an easy fix.
Otherwise they have 7800GS which is 8x AGP and I believe I read that the 7900's will also have an AGP out soon.
Good luck!
