Superman Returns

Post by Indignant »

Well, I got to see Superman Returns yesterday (one of the perks of working at EA:) ). I must say it was a pretty good flick. Granted, it's not what I'd call the best super hero movie out, but well worth a look.
My only real complaint is I felt they didn't really expand on the characters much. Granted, most people know who Superman, Lex Luther, and Lois Lane are, but I like a little more meat to my stories.
And I must say, Kevin Spacey friggin rocks. I never thought I'd like him as Lex Luther, but I think he may have done a better job than Hackman at the part.

Rental for me. Never been a Superman fan myself (I know, it's kinda before my time, but whatever), but it looks alright from the previews.

I'm actually more interested in the second Pirates of the Caribbean. Might actually go see that one.

I actually can't wait to go see Superman Returns. Just hard to get out with the kid.

I've heard it's quite good, but it's early.

i loved the movie. Its waaay better than 3 and 4, but it just cant beat the first 2. Only had one problem and i aint telling because it will spoil the move for a lot of people. But loved it and had a lot of fun before the movie with a bunch of friends.

My college room mate was in town, so he invited me to go see it. It was OK. A couple good actions scenes (my favorite being the airplane rescue), but the rest was pretty "meh". If Superman actually had a worthy adversary, you know, one with powers that could fight him, the movie would have been much more interesting. Instead, he faces Lex Luthor once again and his damn Kryptonite. Also, too much people-saving and not enough baddy stomping. Guess that's why I never liked Superman.

Also, Lex's whole "diabolical" scheme is so ludicrous that I find him more insane than actually evil. I'd go more into detail, but I don't want to spoil anything. All that being said, I actually enjoyed that movie more than X-Men III surprisingly. I guess if you're really into Superman you're gonna like this one, if you don't, wait until it's on DVD.

Lex Luthor is the best villian ever.
One time, when no one was looking, Lex Luthor took fourty cakes.
He took 40 cakes. That's as many as four tens. And that's terrible.

Also, kneel before Zod.
