Re: Champions Online Beta
I'll probably grab it. I loved CoH.
Re: Champions Online Beta
awesome
well, you can preload the client now on fileplanet (subscribers only) and on 17th of August the open beta will go live, hopefully there won't be the usual enforcement of european players on one set of servers and U.S. players on their own set of servers.. so HOPEFULLY i'll see you in the beta then Arch?
also i believe pre order players get a beta key by default..

Re: Champions Online Beta
I've had some fun playing this game. It definitely has a CoX feel to it, but better. Who knows how many hours I've spent in the character creator.
I am tempted to pick this one up, but there are too many games coming out by the end of the year that I want

Re: Champions Online Beta
ye i was seriously considering it myself, but i decided against it...
the pvpin the game is fun, and i can see a lot of thought going into what powers you choose for pvp, however, there is some PvP vendors in the game and the pvp gear is not very expensive, at least not in beta, so pretty soon everybody would have the same gear in pvp, so the games would come down to power choices and mAdskiLlZ... which is good i guess.. its also fun running around in the world doing the pve content, i definately enjoyed the fact that if your quest sets you off to kill Mr.Bossman leader of the blah blah blah.. and you finally find him, but somebody else is killing him, you can just help and still get credit for killing it.. no need for the same group etc.. i am sure there are some loot ramifications of this but heh... there is always a trade off...
The character creation is fantastic in the game, i made a cartoon version of the joker pretty easily, which was fun, my kids got a great laugh out of him.. but i spent most of the beta time in the creation screens.. possibilities are amazing..
YES! it does sound as if i really enjoyed the beta, and its true, i did, so why not buy it? well, i can't really be arsed to spend more money on a game when Borderlands, CoD MW2 and a ton of other great titles are on their way. all of which i will play on my ps3 with no FPS issues
yes, my pc sucks lol

Re: Champions Online Beta
I have to say I had the opposite impression. Played it for about an hour and have zero temptation to go back. It felt like CoH which I loved, but that's exactly the point. If I wanted to play CoH/V, I would go play those.
