Ok this type of game was a little odd. First the main map is the second version of the beta which is outside. This one is mostly inside and has to be the best visual looking map of the demo. Basicly the game starts out on a CTF style level with 2 ends, one red one blue. You both have to run to the center to get the ball. Once you pickup the ball the only thing you can do is shoot the ball (sort of like a nade in SOF2).

This is very fun once you know the map. I spent several games trying to figure out the point to it all and once I knew where to go and the general point it gets way better. The fact that you can't shoot makes for a hard time. Next the spawn points are located all around the goal so even if your team kills everyone that means the entire team will respawn instantly and will be waiting for you around the corner.

If we are going to play this game I wll sign up right now for this style of play over CTF as its much more fun than any other. CTF takes skill, thats a fact but luck has a lot to do with it as well - if everyone dies and the person makes it to a certain spot he is home free with no chance to catch him. Here you have to take the ball not just into the enemy camp but into the back room which is the last place you want to be in

If the other team dies they have countless number of times they can get you before you score - this means its a lot of fun, hard as hell to score in a large game, and requires team work and skill. If you happen to get the ball close to the goal but die the other team picks the ball up and has to get it to your goal. The main thing to concider here is the fact that they now have to travel back to center then into your base - by which time you are all over them making it again very hard.

The wild card: in SOF2 you have no such thing, you die, they run, they score, you lose, you suck, you cry, they get cut. Its not that hard to follow

In this game you have the transl device which can be used to get yourself into spots you couldn't before. In a well thought out game you can have snipers hidden all over, not just in your base. This adds even more to the fun factor.

Points.....Everyone loves to have a nice score, well in DM 30 mins I had a score of 97. In CTF I had a score of 134 after 20 mins. In BR I had a score of 429 after 30 mins of play. How is that for a score

The game I was playing had 16 players and used the knock off railgun so 1 shot kills. The game says some very cool things if you do well. First thing you will notice is when you kill a few people but do not die yourself the game will say to you that you are on a killing spree. It will also announce it to everyone else that you're going on a spree. If you die after it will also announce to the game who ended your run. Kind of cool.

If you happen to kill a lot of people within a very short time (within 5 secs each kill or less) the game will say a rank. In the BR I not only hit the limit but hit it so many times I wrote them all down.

Nothing said - Single kill
Double Kill - 2 kills
Multi Kill - 3 kills
Mega Kill - 4 kills
Monster Kill - 5 kills
Ludicrous - 6 kills
Holly Shit! - 8 kills

I also heard it say Rampage a few times when you stay alive and get a lot of 4-5 kills. If you happen to live a long time and get a lot of high number of kills it will also call you God.

My GF came out pissed just awhile ago because I had the volume way up and all your could hear was body parts and blood hitting the floor, mean ass remarks being said, a very nice bg music track, while the computer said Holly Shit over and over.

As I have said before SOF2 is very nice and can be fun to play. I do not however like INF or DEM that much. I really do not like having to sit with a gun for 6 mins only to have someone run in, take 4 point blank shots to the body with a shot gun then shoot me once while having full power to gain the kill. Lets not forget the long wait for the next round to start. Was it fun, sure it was and still is - I get a kick out of the team games Dragon and I have some days, we own those servers! But for the most part I do not take much joy in playing 5 mins out of 30. Waiting and wathing the rest of the time. This kind of game adds the constant thrill of DM mixed with CTF all the while getting rid of the home free situation. Some may say that it takes no skill to play a DM style game but if you suck with a rail gun you won't live long. If you happen to use it well (which I am very good at it) you can last a long time taking out a lot of people. DM lacks direction...why am I here, why do I care to play this more....In BR you have a goal and direction so go frag.
For those wondering - my cpu is a AMD 2000+ which I did the mod to the cpu itself to run as a full 2300+. This mod will work on a AMD 1900, 2000, 2100, and 2200. I did it to the 1900 when I first got it however the temp with the retail fan was 98 which is way to high. I decided to go with the 2000 model and a water cooler. My cpu is running at 1900Mhz - AMD 2300+ and is stable at a temp of 20. As I said before this game does stall with a lot of players. 8 players seems ok but 16 is hell. I decided to try a few test. First thing to note is that my cpu is not over clocked in the normal case. Most cases you would turn up the values in the bios which can run well if you built your system to handle it. My cpu is set higher but is still running under normal conditions. So I cranked it up high, how high

I took my rad out of my pc and sat it right in front of my AC running as high as it can go, waiting for my cpu temp to hit 2 then over clocked it from 1900 to 2100~ the exact number I forgot. I also had to up the power to the cpu to keep it from locking up. After the job the temp was hitting 32 which is not bad. The game does not stall at this speed with 20 players running over the net. I will not run this mod again as I am sure its not healthly for the cpu in the long run. I am happy with my 2300 as is. But we are not too far off from AMD cpus running at 2100mhz for a good price. I might get a 2200 around xmas and set it to 2400 or whichever is the norm for it. My cpu cost 200 new over here (yeah canadian funny money). So if it dies out I could care less, just get a new one, I just don't want it to die at 3am when no stores are open

BTW, I am using DDR400 CL2 1gig mem. (2 x 256, 1 x 512). My board as of now will not allow me to set the mem to 400, 333 is the limit, so for normal operation I have DDR333. But to over clock you need parts that can handle the speed chance which my mem can. The doc says 512meg is needed for performace....a little over kill they said when I built this thing, wonder what they say now.
