DNF Dead?

Shock of all shocks!! Could 3dRealms be admitting that DNF will NEVER see the light of day?

There is an article on GameSpot right now regarding the publisher of DNF, which basically says that they have given up that DNF will ever be released. They mention that they guarantee it won't make it out this year and that they have written it off. Granted this isn't 3dRealms (the developer) saying this, but I don't think any of us would be shocked if it was true. Disappointed, yes. Shocked, no.

*Massivly disappointed* Damnit! I was really looking foward to that game. I remember watching a video on it and it looked so sweet. Damn 3dRealms to hell!

Well, you have to appreciate the fact that 3d Realms appears to be a development company run by gamers, based on George Broussard's comments in this article about the rift between 3d Realms (dev of DNF) and Take Two (publisher of DNF).
