I've noticed that the lag has been increasing more lately. Not just at peak hours either. The other night I was playing at 1 am PST and there so much lag that it was becoming pointless. I was in a squad and we were all going to recall and in mid recall countdown we canceled because the lag was gone. We were on Ish and it really wasn't that populated like other times i have experienced the lag. I am not planetside bashing at all, in fact I like the game a lot and will continue playing the game. I even rebuilt my machine to help with any fault that may be on my part. went from an AMD A7 1 gig with 512mb pc 133 geforce 4 4400 ti to a p4 2.6 800mhz fsb with Hyperthreading, 1gig of 400mhz ddr ram and the same video card. it performs much better. well i just wanted to see if anyone else has noticed the lag issue...

Heres your problem...

When the game first came out everyone was always fighting on diff conteints. At some times about 4 conts were on pop lock... Now since everyone's 30 day trial expired there aren't many people left on PS. You'll see this if you go to the server selection screen. Basically now the only way to get a good fight is to send all the people on one server to the same continent. So basically now its like there is really no place to fight where there will be half pop.

This will be fixed by combing two servers, possibly, or getting more people to buy and stay with the game. The same thing will happen 3 months form now when everyon's game cards expire.

I rarely have an issue with lag even in the biggest battles.

well, maybe not everyone.

but after playin the retail SWG, woohoo ... PlanetSide is like a styrofoam cup with a toothpick flag stickin out, and SWG is a giant fortress on the hill. BADA BING!

Well I think we need to rethink who is going to be in this division then. I mean anyone who wants to drop playing planetside at least say so cause I don't know who is around anymore.
