A friend an I run a forge mod (FTB) server for Minecraft. Been having a blast with it. Could use a bigger population without opening it up to total jerks/strangers. I'm in transition to England right this minute but will be back admin-ingthere soon. My friend is a great programmer, so he works hard ...

Re: Skyrim!
I must be playing this game all wrong...I barely remember to alchemize anything...and I don't enchant at all. I just shoot stuff with arrows from the shadows.
In any case, I'm having fun playing. TheBoy is playing too. He has Xbox and I has PC. We make fun of each other constantly. Good times.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
I haven't been keeping up with all the latest but I am keeping an eye out for it closer to the release date. I really want it to be good.
We'll see.

Re: StarCraft II
I'd be willing to play. I suck at these kind of games and I actually haven't played it for a bit because I've been busy but I'd come be fodder.

Re: LOTRO Going Free To Play
My son has been after me to play this again after he learned one of my coworkers plays. I might pick it back up so I we can play together - though my gaming time is so limited anymore.

Re: I can has computer problem?
It was the Asus motherboard, even though I just had the danged thing replaced. It wasn't playing well with the processor and apparently this is pretty common.
In any case, Thowarr installed the Gigabyte mobo and everything seems to be running pretty smooth now. We're getting everything updated and ...

Re: I can has computer problem?
I gave up trying to fix my computer. I started working 42 1/2 hours a week and didn't care to keep playing with it. I decided to let Thowarr troubleshoot it when he returned from Afghanistan.
He came back but of course he was busy for a long time too. Eventually we had a look at it again and we've ...

Re: I can has computer problem?
Xor - yep, Arch pointed that out to me. And that makes complete sense...I don't know what I was thinking. Well actually Thowarr told me to do that, I think we were trying to verify that the HD was working properly and eliminating that as a possible reason it wouldn't boot.

Re: I can has computer problem?
Me again.
The latest thing I've tried is hooking up my husband's perfectly running harddrive to my rig to see if it would boot up. Nope.
So, I tried hooking my harddrive up to my husband's computer (mainly because I have important documents I'd love to access right now) and naturally went to a ...

Re: I can has computer problem?
I got the new processor installed. No go. I did the thing with the reset whatsit IDO and that didn't make a difference.
No beeping at all, purrs like a kitten - just doesn't want to boot up.
Blarg. I'm really tired of playing with it. I want my computer back. Waaaaah.

Re: I can has computer problem?
Xor: Uh...hmm. Well, I currently have the processor out because I was going to go ahead and send it in so they can replace it just in case. And I can't remember about the beeping exactly.
I know the mother board beeped when the video card wasn't all the way pushed in when I was fiddling with things ...

Re: I can has computer problem?
Pretty much the only part left that could be causing the issue is the processor. Processors have been known to work intermittantly, so it would make sense that it would sometimes work just fine for quite a while before it really kicked the bucket. The thermal goo was dried up and I remember intially ...

Re: I can has computer problem?
So, my computer started doing the whirring but no power up thing again. This time I sent the motherboard to Asus. I just unwrapped a fresh motherboard and plugged all the crap back in and started it up...well I tried to start it up. It's STILL doing that no start up the computer thing.

Re: PC version of MW2 = no dedicated servers.
We modded our PS1 back in the day. It was really simple and cheap to do. You could buy Hajii (however it's properly spelled) copied games for $2 a game over in the Middle East. I prefer to give the developers what they deserve for their work but I hate it when they start getting greedy.
