I skimmed this thread as fast and as best I can, while still grasping each members opinion. One thing I did not see (correct me if I missed it) is the difference between crouching and leaning & crouchleaning. One is a cheat, one is NOT. Crouching and leaning is as legal in the open as it is behind a corner. Obviously it alters the hitbox of your character, you contort yourself like that and see what it does to your body. I hate getting killed in open road combat by a guy that looks like he is shitting on the asphalt, but it is not illegal unless he has a script that allows he/she to crouch and lean with ONE key or button. REMEMBER, what ever makes the playing field uneven is a cheat. If a control config like this is not included in an official patch, then everyone does NOT have it and it is illegal. If everyone CAN crouch and lean (and they can) then it is legal. An exceptions to this idea is only the use of exploits and glitches in the map or game.

When I'm out during a field exercise and we have no more toliet paper, I go over to the woods, couch, once I'm done lean for a leaf or two. Crouch and lean

The main issue has to do with the fact that individuals were binding both actions to one key with switches to alternate their direction. The reason they did this was purely to alter their hitbox, making it harder to hit them because where the avatar was displayed wasn't where the hitbox was. Performing acts to gain an advantage that the designer did not intend, and that the majority of the community was screaming out for a fix was obviously something that should not be exploited to the degree that others were using it to.

Crouching and leaning to look around a corner or other obstacle is great, but people who crouch-lean in the middle of an open map, purely to try and make themselves harder to hit by EXPLOITING a known issue in the game is where I have concern. If the hitboxes matched up with the player and they were doing this in the middle of an open map, fine....but this isn't the case.

I literally threw up when I heard the usual crap about *puts on stupid voice (puts on? its already there)*blah blah blah, maturity, blah blah blah. I know everything because I am me...blah blah blah... I stopped reading about there...

If one sad person thinks that crouchlean is not a cheat, then I have no problem, he can moan all he wants I'm just gonna ignore him. I respect his opinion. It was a heavily discussed situation at the time. But I think the reason that they brought out a fix is because it was a bug that was being exploited, or at least thats what they do when there is an error that shouldn't be there. Maybe I'm just getting senile in my old age.

makes u harder to hit, so why not use it? jumping and running side to side makes u harder to hit too, but that shits not illegal now is it? rofl

new twl rules! no leaning, no crouching, no jumping, no moving! - just stand face to face and fire first to die loses. rofl

Im a scripter so I can make any assortment of "dancing" scripts but why? a: its a waste of time b: its ping dependant and c: and most importantly its a waste of time!

most used script now and days is the side to side script. crouch and lean is just to old skool, i can even do it without the script. But then again if you know how to execute certain 'moves' in one key then you are just
