That doesn't work against my M3A1, guy! Your shotgunning days are over... until you respawn!

Why was PayBack a flop? Sure, the singleplayer was guaranteed to suck just like the first two SOF games, but did the multiplayer even get a chance to show itself off? Kinda wish I had gotten it.

they tried to change too many things to make it more like other fps games... a big hit was the slowing down after jumping... you'd be amazed at the people who still play sof2 today just because you can strafe jump accross maps

sof2 was one of the faster paced fps games ive played so far... probably while i still play in pugs 2-3 times a night

I got this article on the co-op portion of WAW.

There are times when going at it alone just isn't enough, and you want a buddy by your side to help make it through to the day, not to mention help soak up enemy bullets. For this, Activision has revealed how co-op multiplayer will be handled in Call of Duty: World at War, in which players will lace up in the military boots of either U.S. Marines or Russian soldiers in both the South Pacific and European theaters of war.

Specifically, the Treyarch-developed shooter will include four-player online co-op for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, while the console versions will also allow soldiers to pair up offline for local split-screen gameplay, with "a unique co-op mode for two players" reserved for soldiers waggling on the Wii. However, the game's online focus won't end with simply gunning down enemy soldiers and offering moral support to buddies trying to make it through the game's "darker themes." Activision notes that Call of Duty: World at War will shell out persistent experience points to players participating in both competitive and cooperative online battles, as well as a difficulty curve that will scale depending on "a player's experience rank and rank of the player's friends."

I like that you can get xp from playing single player co-op but you have to wonder if that will get abused in some way.....

In terms of co-op play, I think I'm more interested in Left 4 Dead

I pre-purchased L4D on a whim. (INFINITE PISTOL AMMO? SOLD!)

I'm not all that enthralled by the demo (first two levels).
Even on the "impossible" difficulty, getting through isn't all that difficult. Only the Tank really impedes progress.
I've been killed far more by the other survivors than I have by the zombies.

And unlike World At War, there isn't anything other than 4 players co-op or 8 with zombies boss players.

Though considering how simple it appears to add new maps and whatnot, even in the demo, there will be a lot of replayability.

I'll be playing the hell out of Dead Left Hand Four Fingers.

Well I am getting to the point that I am going to be forced to get a new system.... I can't even play the COD5 demo.... I have the Black Screen of Death.... well it is not death... I just have a black screen but I can hear all the sounds. That coupled with when I play Age of Chivalry I get an amazing 10 - 17 FPS...... :x

thats definately overkill for cod.. but i guess if you have the cash.. i built mine for just under 800 a few months back and im can keep over 80fps no problem... looks really clean.. could probably build the same system for around 500 now... id like to just pick up another 8800gt.. but i dont know if that'll give me much more.. and there really isnt any big game out that im willing to spend more money on my system for.

the 150 dollars for another card could buy me another dozen carbon arrow shafts... or some new boots... or gloves... or a decent scope .... SOMEBODY MAKE A GOOD GAME ALREADY
