1. The Crouch/Lean only works against shotguns (USAS included) and knives. So, use an AK or an M4 and shoot for the head. I have to agree with Falcon that you have to adapt to bad situations. But that doesnâ€™t mean you have to become a weak person to do it. By his logic its ok to go download a wall hack because â€œeveryoneâ€™s doing itâ€.
By using a primary weapon more often you also save yourself the hassle of being killed while switching weapons.
**Note** I havenâ€™t been able to master this myself, but the shotgun is only a small percentage of my kills.

2. Undead I know without a doubt that PHX is one of the most â€œhonestâ€ teams out there and I respect them for that, but they are not the only ones. You imply that the â€œhonestâ€ teams have the low Win/Loss ratios and that Other-Then-Honest teams have high Win/Loss ratios. I have to take offense to that.
We have one player that does the Crouch/Lean thing and believe me he gets harassed about it. Aside from that there is NOBODY in TN that does anything that can be considered an exploit or cheat and we do pretty well in the Win/Loss category. I know of several teams that do even better then us and they play as honest as anyone. By your logic any team that does well in the leagues and ladders runs scripts or exploits.
We have a private server that we practice on and on that server we run the latest version of Punkbuster and an older version of OSP. The reason for the older version of OSP is that I donâ€™t want to have to force someone to have to wait on a client download for the newer versions to play against us in a match or scrim. In each of the configs we run on that server are not only the Auto Punkbuster Screen Shots, but the config checker as well. This means any script or change in anyoneâ€™s config will be recorded and discovered. Iâ€™ve looked through the logs and all Iâ€™ve seen are an outfitting script (press a key and after you die you chose different weapons) and a gamma script. The gamma script, which I used at one time, is so you can change your gamma without going to the console. BOTH of these scripts are console shortcuts. In short your logic just isnâ€™t.

Falcon, you are not pissing me off, I use an M60, the crouch lean does not affect me in the least. I just wont let a conversation on this board end so opposed to my beliefs unless it is posted by one of the other PHX.

And if I have a choice of sacrificing my integerity or being sucky... I choose sucky. I not only believe in integerity but I believe in karma, what comes around goes around, and to be honest with you I think my thoughts on things like honor and cheating have paid off more than I could have ever imagined. Respect is a powerfull thing.

I am not frustrated either as the bug does not effect me, just appalled at peoples mentalities and disheartened when I see people so willingly accepting and using cheats. (you call it what you want, I will call it what I want).

I am glad you think you are pushing my buttons, all you are really doing is showing someone who has all his friends back how little he wants you as a compadre for two reasons... 1) I dont like your philosophy and 2) I dont like people that try to manipulate others.

Obviously you feel the need to reply to every one of my posts even though the majority of PHXers seem to agree with me so who is pushing who's buttons?

Uhh A7, last time I heard PHX play against you guys, your team was using the crouch lean. Every PHX who played the match told me this. So maybe you dont know as much about your clan mates as you think you do.

Now maybe when I said that all the best clans in Cal use exploits and cheats, I was being a bit unfair to those who dont. But you gotta understand, there seems to be a very small minority of players who dont use it.

The one thing that I would like to add is that in our last couple of matches the crouch leans exploit has caused us to lose rounds that I honestly believe we would have WON. Most of these players that do this feel they are elite players "because everyone can do it so it is fair to use" and that is bullshit. I could do the crouch lean .. I even have a nice bind for it but I refuse to use it. I would like to see these players try crouch lean BS in lets say PAINTBALL. But then again I doubt those players would get the chance to get that close since they would be covered in paint if they got within 100 feet.

Ok.. now I am just rambling.... hehe

I like A7 and his clan, I dont know about the match because I was not there but I would like to NOT start any bad blood with a clan that has been tight with PHX for some time now.

UM you apparently heard wrong, or the problem was exagerated. We have one guy that does it, thats it. And to be quite honest its a helluva lot of fun to kill him when he does it.

IDO has the right idea, kill em before they get close enough to make the crouch lean of any use. That goes along with the idea of staying away from the shotgun and just using a primary weapon.

Yaz, I know what you mean. There isn't now and probably never will be any bad blood between PHX and TN. So no worries there. This is more of a personality conflict then anything else.

Well, it wasn't my intent to start any problems between our clans, I just wanted to get some things out in the open. If it does cause problems with some people, then just tell me to shut up and I'll do it. I feel a very big need to express myself concerning these exploits.

I know if someone was posting this kind of stuff about PHX I would be offended. Maybe your intent is different than it appeared and you just need to think of a different way to word things.

It sounded like you were all hot and blasted out a reply, take a deep breath next time. Every match I have been in I have heard at least one person on vent talking about cheating even when there was no real evidence

It is the inflamation and exageration of misinformation that causes consternation.

Yeah, you're right. Sorry for the accusations A7. Guess I'm still a little heated from our last match. I'm just sick and tired of being beaten to a pulp and hardly even standing a chance. And dont give that "We dont practice enough" BS. Sure, practicing would help somewhat, but when we've played this game for this long, do you think practicing will really help you during those 1 vs 1? You may think so, but I seriously doubt it. I know it doesnt help me. And like IDO said, when we first started getting into Leagues, we were doing fine. But as time went on, we got worse and worse, yet we changed nothing major in our strategies that somehow worked great before.

Alright, I've said my share of ideas, some I should have just kept in my head. I'll try harder not to offend anybody in the future. Just know that anytime I catch anybody in our server using the crouch lean, I'm definitly giving them a hard time.

Like I said, the one guy on our team that does it gets harassed often, even more when we kill him while he's doing it. ANd believe me I'm one of the people screaming about "those crouch leaning @#$%^." when we run into em. But I just keep my AK active and go from there.

All in all the expressing of ideas is a good thing, thats what forums are best for. That doesn't mean people have to agree or like your ideas.
We have one or two guys, I'm not naming names, that scream "HACK" all the time in matchs and scrims (yes on occasion I'm one of the ones screaming) so yeah I know how easy it is to presume the worst. Whats funny is when we start calling each other hacks on Vent. =)

BTW.....damn Yaz, where di dyou start pulling out all those $5 words!?

I can't sit on the side lines for so long, but when someone takes a cheapshot at my clan then I will speak up as one of the team leaders...

I have the utmost respect for all the PHX and DRK guys and trust they feel the same about us.

TN has never allowed the use of a lean script for competition. One guy on our squad has used it but does not have it scripted. To say that we use it and that A7 doesn't know our squad is a very incorrect statement. We have always played PHX, just like everyone else, on the up and up. You have to understand that if any member in TN gets caught using any kind of hack, not only will they be booted from the clan but they will be expose throughout the entire SOFII community. You can be assured about that.

I have never had any issue with you Undead, but your comments are out of line... big time...

Yeah, I said things a bit too harshly. Again I apologize for my comments. Like I said, was just frustrated. But not to offend you or A7, I have seen more than 1 TN use the crouch lean. I doubt they were scripts, just being used manually. And I also seen a few PHX use it, which angers me too. Whatever, I'e gone too far with this, so I'm done.
